Mandisa Sherife-Kekulah

Mandisa hails from Toledo, OH where she holds a master’s degree from the University of Toledo in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Having her bachelor's degree in theater, Mandisa  brings a unique perspective to therapy as she understands the importance of being both authentic and present for every moment with her clients. 

 

Her experience in the clinical setting includes reframing and identification of: negative thinking, identifying steps to be a more authentic version of one's self, and positive self talk/affirmations.

Mandisa is well-versed in Person-Centered approach as well as Cognitive Behavioral and Solution-focused therapies to assist in identifying and developing coping mechanisms appropriate for each person.

​

Mandisa's areas of interest are focused on individuals who identify, and/or experience invisible illnesses, are navigating disabilities, those emerging adulthood (19-25), and the LGBTQIA+ community.

Mandisa's professional philosophy as a therapist is to "treat each person as a unique individual, worthy of unconditional acceptance, regardless of their personal circumstances or struggles."

 

It is Mandisa's desire to walk alongside, challenge, and encourage her clients to find healing emotionally, mentally, and physically.

 

In her free time, Mandisa enjoys spending time with her fur baby dog, gardening, and enjoying true crime podcast.
